I had it done to my Esprit, years ago though. IIRC some wood had to be removed and also standard mounting ring had to be cut a little to fit the carve of the top.

My bro in law has one. He did switch the pickups, he put some WCR Godwoods in it, it sounds quite good now.

The gear page is correct. During the recording of the Blue Moon album, a studio tech accidently knocked it over and busted the headstock.
