fig wrote: | Bluelobster - what amp are you using with your Esprit on the song Spirit of Low Wheels? |
Fig it is the Esprit plugged in the mesa V-Twin preamp (the Overdrive sound - Red light -settings like Gain +3, Bass Center, Middle & treble + 2, presence + 2, & master +4 ) going straight in the sound card.
I recorded with the ACID software and added a bit of Steinberg's Timeworks reverb.
I reminds me sort of good'ol' fuzz face
thanks for listening _________________ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_music.cfm?bandID=147748 |

Great dvd! Excellent camera work showing Robben's fingers moving all over the fretboard with seemingly little effort, making it look so easy (yeah, uh huh, right)... |
Again I'm showing off that I was there but there was enthusiasm all around. sedentary crowd? I believe I was the only sitting person after a day walking through Paris and still I yelled and clapped and whistled and....I almost died from that sound |

Ok, ok, I'll admit that there was some noticeable body movement in the crowd to go along with those huge smiles. But the audience in the Ohne Filter show dvd look like they're auditioning for jobs as mannequins at Macy's... _________________ Soul on Eleven |

Ok I think there are too many rolling smiley faces going on here, I am getting nauseous from the motion!!
I just got my copy of the Paris concert, I am going to watch it right when I get home tonight. I saw him many times live in the early 2000s, Robben used to come to Las Vegas a lot. I hope he will make a trip back some time…..

Hey Guys - its been quite a while since I came on here, but I've been having a blast reading thru some of the threads. The big reason for dropping by is that I just picked up a pristine Esprit Std from E-bay and I'm a pretty happy guy!
Secondly, looking at the DVD thread I had no idea Robben had a new one out and I just ordered it off Amazon.com for £12! I'm having a great week already! Then I notice the track listing on one of the posts above. I looked across to my study wall where I have the actual song listing used by Robben from a gig he did in Londons Jazz Cafe and its almost the same. Its hand written (by Daved?)... song order as written on the paper is... Prison, Just Like, Nothin, Start, Moon, Tired, Super, Hey Bro, Deaf, Love Cup, (then a line), Help Poor.
I remember Robben playing Moonchild and thinking what a wonderful song. I expected it to be released, but then heard somewhere that it had been 'quarantined' by his old record label who would not release it?
Best wishes from the UK! |

I just noticed you hadn't had a reply on this...
My copy is just fine--no audio/video sync problems at all as far as I can see. |

Sorry Rob, that's just me and Blobby, the childish fraction....promise not to give in anymore to this seduction of creating an imaginary motion picture by clicking on lots of round heads

I spoke with Dal and I do, now, vaguely remember that TV recording.
Dal says their use and release has been cleared with him and sanctioned, so don't feel hesitant to purchase your copy. _________________ B C-ing U!

Yea! Thanks for checking on it Daved. I hope that at least a few pennies of the purchase price eventually filters down to Robben (and, of course, his guitar tech guru!)
