Ok I'm new here- I have a gig in a couple weeks and this band wants to do FREEDOM. I love the song and have dabbled in the leads and the chorus- but what the heck is going on at the intro and background of the versus? I know it rocks back and forth between what sounds like an EM9 or something and an AM7 and then up to a BM7- but then holy crap- there is a weird chord suggesting a C something - but i am TOTALLY at a loss - it has become an obsession to figure out this song- can anyone help me? I am thinking of ordering the tiger walk book- Can i just purchase that song sheetmusic in tab or something on the web without buying the whole book? tahnks in advance. _________________ I'm pickin...an' he's a grinnin'

I want to make sure that you all dont think i am cheap- i am all for purchasing the the book and supporting robben and so forth- my hesitation is I am very short on time- and with shipping it would likely be to late.
I did a forum search for FREEDOM and did get some pointers From Andyr and aeolian from last November. Any other insight would be appreciated.
I wixh Robben would get up her to Spokane? I'd quite my job to have the chance to see him live.
thanks- _________________ I'm pickin...an' he's a grinnin'

Actually, no one responded- but i was able to review some previous posts- the weird C chord was a cmaj7 played in open position- at least that was what i did We pulled off our gig with flying colors- the 2nd annual Spokane Blues Festival. We did some santana, Colin James, BBking/Clapton, Ian Moore. Way cool- thanks for asking- take care _________________ I'm pickin...an' he's a grinnin'
