|

If any of you guys have got her, please return her. That woman's a national treasure, no - she's an international treasure. This board is pining away in her absence - we are shadows of our former selves. Lizzy Baby, if you can hear us ... come back, please. If it was something one of us said - tell us and he'll be horsewhipped, and then something nasty will happen to him, like being made to work 5 years as Neil Diamond's guitar tech. Honest, we're serious about this. Reveal yourself, please - well, ahem, at least in a literary way
We miss you, Lizzy!!!!

I love it. Yes, I am fine. I was staying away because of some nasty remarks made by someone who definitely deserves the job working for Neil Diamond (I am still laughing at that one.)
Hey, I am going to Denver for a conference Oct. 26-30....anybody going to some great concert? Let me know, so I can make plans!!!
You are all so sweet...I am overwhelmed by the load of pm messages I have received, and I am so sorry if I made you worry about me.
love, elizabeth _________________ www.elizabethgage.com |

Hi Elizabeth! Great to have you back in the fray.
If anyone feels that it's really necessary that we have at least one nasty person on here regularly, I can give it a try. In fact, I've already created a template I can use for quickly posting nasty stuff, which includes easily used phrases with click-able inserts, such as:
"The [Les Paul/Stratocaster/Baker/PRS/Mongomery Ward Airline] is really a crummy excuse for a guitar."
"If you think [B.B. King/Robben/Macy Grey/Luciano Pavarotti] has a singing voice, you're nuts!]
Or in absolute desparation: "That photo of the Starfleet Commander spandex shirt makes Kirk look really overweight."
Hmmmmm. Maybe I'll just go back to being a nice person. Just like Elizabeth is (and the way everyone else on this Board is). _________________ - BlueRunner |

BlueRunner, thanks so much for that post. I'm rarely in a bad mood, and I had a real bad one going before logging on. Life is much better now (thanks to some good humor!)... _________________ Soul on Eleven |

But you know...that shirt on the TV show DID make him look strange. I'm told he was actually wearing a girdle under it, which made him look like he was made out of bricks. OUR Captain would NEVER have to worry about that...he looks great anytime! (And he CERTAINLY does not need a girdle!)
Anybody know a lot about Line 6 amps? My son just bought one and is having problems. (Poor kid...first job...spends beaucoup $$$, only to have grief!)

As Christopher Lloyd might say: "Great leaping frogs!". I was on the verge of sending out a fleet of single-coiled, set-necked, maple-topped variac detector vans to scour everything west of the Rockies for you ... Thank goodness you're safe and well! The Prime Minister has been informed of your return and has asked me to convey his best wishes. _________________ "Creativeness often consists of merely turning up what is already there. Elizabeth: Sorry to hear that your son has amp problems. I don't know a whole lot about the Line 6's, but have played a few models at local stores. A lont-time friend here who plays regularly in a C&W and rock cover band (and also just happens to be our Fire Chief) has used one for a number of years and really likes it. In part it's because he can "dial in" a ton of different sounds so that he can sound as close as possible to the original of whatever tune the band is playing. And his amp, as well as those I've played, seem fairly durable and user-friendly. Also, the company is based in Agoura, just down the road from here, and their web site (www.line6.com) has a support page with phone numbers, e-mail routing, etc. Good luck. _________________ - BlueRunner |

Thanks, Bluerunner. He had his heart set on that model, as he has played friends' amps. Agoura, huh? Road trip, perhaps! We were just down there last week (well, near there.)
