Robben's most enthusiastic and passionate fan and evangelist! Hands down! ...and an a terrific and sincere person as well!
Go to a show in Northern California, you can't miss her!
Watch you grammar though. Elisabeth <SP> is a school teacher by trade, and loves to make those grammar correction.
So basically, I am in big trouble!!!

So it's kind of ironic that you spelled her name wrong in your post (see above). |

Okay guys, no fighting. It is Summer, so who cares about grammar and spelling? So, you gonna come to a show in Northern California??? Evangelist, huh? Hmmmm. Thanks, as always David, for your kind words.
So Joe, may I please stay? I'll clean up after myself, I promise!

Only if you can play an altered scale in all positions!

You can. Just learn your melodic minor scales...just flatten the 3rd degree on a major scale. Then play the melodic minor 1/2 half step above the root of the altered Dom chord. So G7alt play Ab melodic minor.
Pretty easy!!
Altered is 1,b2, b3, b4, b5, b6, b7 or 1, b9, #9, 3, b5, b13, b7.

I was just joking on that comment to Elizabeth, but that's interesting. I know the notes in the altered scale, and I have a handful of prepackaged altered licks that I do (usually when moving from the I to the IV). And I know the melodic minor scale too. But I never put two and two together, so to speak.
Thanks |

Hello, first time poster, long time RF fan. I first saw RF and the Blue Line at the El Rey theater in Albuquerque and was completely blown away that night and have been an advocate since. I play bass in a local blues and roots music band. Just wanted to say hi to all and hope I might exchange info about RF and his band. As always, keep diggin' the blues and support local live music everywhere!!

Wait...are you any relation to Godzilla? I have always adored him! He is so tall, and scaly, and, and, and, so, well, reptillian! Besides, anyone who plays in a garage band is okay by moi!
Uhhhh, what doesn't move??? |
