Well, after being a fan of Robben for many years, learning his songs, and listening and watching him just get better and better at this great music I finally found this site. Hope to learn a lot and maybe contribute something as well. I am a lefthanded player who plays righty guitars lefthanded, so I am hoping I can help others out who play the same way. Would love to hear from fellow members.

Cool Welcome! And isn't Otis Rush a lefty-righty? If so, he's in good company.

Welcome to this board! I'm a lefthanded player too. But I'm not a lefty-righty but a lefty-lefty!

Greets,

Lefty

Yes, Otis Rush and several other blues singer/guitarists. Sister Rosetta Sharp and Big Bill Broonzy and Albert King. Also, Coco Montoya (I think I spelled that right). Many rock stars as well. I studied under a righty, and had little problem with fingerings..there are chords I use that are difficult if not impossible for righties to play...at least that's what some have told me. When I watch a lefty/righty like myself play, I can't make heads or tails out of what is going on, but when I watch a 100% righty I can follow and even name the chords...go figure Very Happy Has something to do with the functions of the left and right side of the brain in lefthanded people. I have to turn a lesson book upside to comprehend the fingerings on a fretboard diagram...works like a charm! Would love to hear your stories, and if anyone needs help playing this way I am always here to answer questions. Wink
