WOOO HOOO finally some live Robben on the Radio in the UK!
I second the last post, if it is Paul Jones, he has a very good Blues Show on Radio 2 and often has guests 'live' in the Studio.
Definitiely one NOT to miss!
PS: Hope to see some list members at the Jazz Cafe in a week or so! |

Second row? I'm totally jealous. I let it get away from me for a couple of days and ended up 2/3rd's back. When the announcement came out it looked like Blues Traveler was the headliner but when I bought the tickets it looked like Robben was. Does anybody know which is which? We all know which way it "ought" to be. Is this the same band? Second guitar, no keys? As much as I respect Volker, in my dreams the second guitar would be Garth. In fact if I won the lottery, I'd book a show with Robben, Garth, Chris Cain and Wedemeyer and watch the music pour forth as they played off each other. _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.

I hope you win the lottery; what a cool party that would be. Invite me...I will wash dishes, proofread, sing backup, tutor in English or History...whatever is needed.

I think you should be able to connect to the BBC website and download the 'live radio player' software, and set it up ok. They also do 'repeats of shows for a about a week or so afterwards.
I will be recording the show (if my memory doesnt pack up before it plays!!), so if you miss it you can email me and I will create a CDR copy
Its a big moment here as its the first time EVER to my knowledge that RF has been on UK Radio, although ALL of the Guitar mags regularly feature articles and song transcriptions etc - go figure!
Therefore what I am really saying - its such a big event for us that it would be very stupid to miss the chance to get a recording of the programme session, so dont worry if you cannot hear the broadcast in the new year! |

As mentioned earlier in this thread, it would be great to see Robben on a programme like Later with Jools Holland, I'm sure it would be a winner....
Anyone got any clout with aforementioned Mr. Holland _________________ I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy |

If it ends up on Paul Jones Show
you would eventually be able to hear the Paul Jones Show here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/jones/
The previous shows are archived.
I notice that this week's show has Robben's "Homework" from Keep on Runnin' on the playlist... Don't see any mention of Robben's Manchester show..
