Who would you like to have appear on it? Personally, I'd love to see Robben work with Joni again. A Hendrix duet with Landau would be cool, too.

Just a few quick nominations:

Eric Bibb
Johnny A.
Joe Bonamassa
Jim Weider w/ Tony Levin
Leslie West
Gregg Allman w/Floyd Miles
Al Green
BB King
Jewel
Dido
John Petrucci
Joey Eppard

With this line-up, and more, a dvd is required... :-)

I'll ensure that Robben is aware of this poll's results and comments.

Bearing this in mind, I'd like Robben to...

PLAY A GIG IN ENGLAND

...please.

For me it would definitely be an instrumental recording, or better yet, DVD (live/concert).
Something with a larger than the Jing Chi trio size group. Maybe with Neil Larsen on keyboard and oh yes, my favorite bass player Jimmy Haslip.

He could play his entire set on a banjo, for all I care - I just want to see him play live!

Evil or Very Mad I LOVE THE BANJO !

Early Blues music was played on banjos and we're finally seeing a growing number of contemporary Blues musicians -- such as Eric Bibb, Bobby Lee Rodgers, Otis Taylor -- using the banjo again in the Blues. Robben had a wonderful banjo player open for him on two shows I saw in recent years.

Without the banjo, there would be no Blues. Slaves from Angola brought the first "mbanza" to the American colonies in the 1600s. The mbanza (banza, banjar, banjo) was made from gourds, wood and tanned skins and strung with hemp or gut strings.

Gospel Blues are rooted in traditional African songs of worship. Slaves were permitted to sing, dance and play banjos in church. Drums were forbidden because owners feared that drums could be used to start a revolution.

In the 1830s, Southern white minstrel performers began using the banjo in their blackface acts. These performers mocked and made fun of traditional African songs and dances, prompting many African American players to abandon the banjo -- and the Blues Crying or Very sad

I'd like for Robben to come by the house and visit for a while, Very Happy but since that isn't going to happen Crying or Very sad , I'd love another DVD - say, something with the Ford Blues Band. Anything with the band from the Paris New Morning DVD would be great, too.

I wish there were an 'All of the Above' choice. Since there isn't, I'll wish for a DVD Performance, with a transcription and analysis from Robben of every song.

I hope Robben is primary following his artistic path, without getting confused of all the desires of fans and record companies.
