Sorry if this is a no no. I only double posted 'cause some might not know to look in the "Last Day" thread for some info. on the Moe's gig. So here goes. I'll do the best I can to fill you guys in on the Moe's gig.
I am an avid listener but not a player so here goes on the setups. Robben had a Fender Super Reverb amp modded or not ???? The Zen drive and a cherry red Les Paul. Volker had the 2-rocks and another cherry red Les Paul. No help on the FX. Dwayne had a 6 string blonde wood bass...not sure mfg. and a Galeen Kruger???sp. you know what I mean.... head and matching speaker cabnet with what looked like 4 15" drivers. Andy had some sort of preamp and a Super Reverb Fender as well. Thats all I can do. Hope it helps all you gearheads.
As far as the set list goes. I tried to get a copy of the setlist from Dwayne but when I asked, he said that Robben might need it later and was hesitant to give it up.
The setlist from memory..not in order... Keep on Runnin'...Homework...Tired of Talkin' ....Chevy ....Cadillac.....Moonchild Blues...Help Myself...Little Red Rooster....Love'n Cup....It's About Time....Another Fine Day....Nothing To Nobody....Feelin' Disconnected....Up From The Streets???... Obviously there were more tunes from this 2-1/2 hr. 2 set gig. If the fog clears and I remember any more I will post them.

Here's a fun tidbit. The owner of Moe's (he used to be a partner but recently bought out the other folks) was a tour manager for Joni Mitchell and was Larry Carlton's guitar tech, including the first time Larry went out on the road. The guy has a huge musical history and love of all kinds of music. And he loves Robben. He's gambled on folks like Barry Finnerty, CAB and Will Bernard with fairly dismal results. Robben has a hard enough time booking into large venues. If we want this non-mainstream music to thrive, or just survive, we need to support both the musicians, and the club owners brave enough to support the musicians.

Aoelian: Hear Hear! I try to get to Moe's every time I'm up in Santa Cruz (about five times a year). I describe it to friends as "low ceilinged and loud," but it's also a listener-friendly venue. With its low stage and small dance area, it's as if you're at a house party with musicians you know and like. And the crowd's always friendly. Sometimes it's blues, sometimes it's rock, sometimes it's folk, and some times it's great world beat stuff -- no rut here in the booking department. And it's all fun. (Oh yeah, and the drinks are reasonably priced, too.)

Phil, I think Red knows who CAB are. I think he was shocked that they were playing at Moe's, and that I didn't call him to tell him about it. Virgil Donati was playing drums that night. First time I've seen him live. And he smoked.

This was Brunnel, Donati, Patrice Rushen and Tony MacAlpine. Which is why I thought Red knew about this. All players that he follows. I'm not really a fan of that shred guitar tone. But in Moe's the sound is really good and you can get some articulation out of that sound and hear what Tony was doing. Expecially compared to the larger halls I've seen Steve Morse in the last couple of times where it was just a blur of sound. They all played their asses off to a small crowd. Bill was digging it but business being business, he makes more out of jam/regae bands bringing in the college crowd.
