This message forwarded to me and it is posted on Derek's message board.
Derek Trucks Band Equipment Stolen....
Emergency - Please Help
The Derek Trucks Band's equipment trailer was
stolen last night in Atlanta. I need to purchase
the following equipment ASAP. Anyone who is
willing to sell any of this gear, please call me
at 303-778-1156.
1) Two blackface Super Reverbs, 1965 preferred,
1964 through 1967 acceptable. Must have
original transformers; everything else will be
tweaked by me to Derek's spec. Speakers
not important - keep 'em if you like. As long
as the cabinet and baffle board aren't busted,
I don't give a shit what it looks like.
2) One 1974 or earlier Ampeg SVT head. Must
have original trannies. Looks not important
Not looking for the oldest production with the
6146B output tubes, please.
Posters in the Atlanta area, please be on the lookout for
the stolen gear. A list of serial numbers will be posted
here as soon as I receive it.

Yet, one more professional musician victimized by low-life cocksuckers who statistically, know they can get away with this activity. Even if they are caught, the penalties are almost non- existant. If you have any leads, I will put you in touch with my friend who is a private detective in the NYC area, retired veteran NYPD Gold-Shield. Buddy Cage |

Yes, this is true.
Pretty much everything the band owned was stolen, including his favorite Super Reverb amp which he has owned and used for over 15 years.
Fortunately Derek's 2 main SG's were not in the trailer, so we have them plus his Super-Six amps which stay with the Allman Brothers band gear. _________________ B C-ing U!

I hope there's a special place in the afterlife for people who steal musicians' gear. Maybe a place were for all eternity they get run over by the people who stole other folks' bicycles.
In fact, I feel better already imagining the guy who stole by Stratocaster getting knocked over a million times by the guy who stole my Motobecane racing bike about 30 years ago. When the bike guy's done with that, he can start in on the ------- who ran off with Derek's stuff. _________________ - BlueRunner |

Unbelievable.
How about Frank Gambale's guitars that were stolen from his home last year while he was on a road trip- any of them recovered?
Re: the thieves. I say we catch them, jail them, and force them to watch American Idol 24/7. |

Franks stuff was recovered, found in the house of someone who did roof work for him. They found some of his neighbors stuff too, the thief had done some work for them too.
All I can hope is that karma takes shit heads like this down…I will fax the serial # list to some local music stores. |
