Hi Daved.
I was wondering if Robben has stopped using his Dumble amps, at least for live playing.
He's been using the Zendrive + Fender amp combo for a few concerts now ( Guitar Town, John Mayall tour, gig with Mike Landau, gig with the ABB, tour with Larry Carlton etc.. ), so has he decided to use this equipment from now on ? Does he want to use the Dumble in the studio only, or does he plan to use them when he'll be headlining only ? Or was he looking for a new , different tone with the Zendrive ?
Hope that's not too many questions

Hi, Pierre.
As I've explained in another post elsewhere, his Dumble rigs have been "down for maintenence" for awhile, being reworked, modified, and serviced by Alexander (who most of you long timers know, can be notoriously meticulous and slow, like Alf with his ZenDrives,) while Robben has been doing things that did not absolutely require the OverDrive Specials.
The Zen pedals, although not perfect as O/D replacements, have been the "breakthrough" pedals that have allowed Robben to feel confidently free to get by without the Dumbles when necessary.
Still, WHENEVER POSSIBLE, Robben does, of course, prefer to use his tried and true Dumble OverDrive Special rigs and you should be seeing and/or hearing them back in use more often in the near future. _________________ B C-ing U!
