L.A. fans of Robben's may be interested to know that he intends to play at the new club, Safari Sams, every Monday night, beginning on April 17th, and (if he is available) will continue to perform there on Monday nights for the next few months. Please check Safari Sam's webpage for details:

Thanks, Anne! I went on Safari Sam's website, and all of a sudden realized that some years ago I'd been peripherally involved on the real estate end in a matter involving the shopping center in which the club is located. I didn't add 2 and 2 until I saw the address and the before and after photos. Wow. I for one am not sorry to see the old strip club disappear, and to have a new venue for music, instead, is just gravy.

Safari Sam had telephoned me a while back to ask some questions about the shopping center, but all I knew at the time was that a "Mr. Lanni" needed some information. Once I saw the website I made the connection, and sent him a congratulatory e-mail. I just got a nice note back from him, and I'm definitely looking forward to getting down there for some shows ... particularly Robben's.

I'll be there. He is so cute. I just love what he does with his hair. And he plays the guitar real nice too!!

Hope he does it a few more Monday nights, because, as you can see, I'm sure not there tonight.

Jaba: Welcome aboard. And ditto on the hair. Don't know how Robben does it. Probably, instead of a "Dorian Grey" type picture locked up in his attic, he just keeps pictures of guys like Daved and me. Gotta' tell you, though, having no hair has saved me enough haircut money to buy a lot of nice guitar gear.
