Hmmmm.......A rather picky lot.....
If I ever get the chance to see SD live I'd relish every moment.
Becker agreed is more composer than guitarist.......
How many here can claim such accomplishment.
If it were I then I'd be playing 'my songs' on guitar as well,
sure there'd be a million guitarist who would 'technically do
it better so to speak' but it's his stage, his songs, let them
get their own. More heart and less head I say, perhaps there'd
be 'better songs' for us to show our 'technique'. I'll shut up now
and go back to standing in the corner.

I saw the Dan in Sept 2000 for the first time ever, a lifetimes ambition and they were brilliant, Herringtomn is a great guitar player, but the whole 'orchestra' rocked, note perfect but satill with plenty of soul and emotion. Hope they tour the UK with the 'everything must go' show

Cheers

Simon

Try Beckers '11 tracks of whack' for some neat guitar playing, however I do tend to agree the dan were always about composition and then getting the best musicians around to perform them!
