The Yard Bird! Oh yes!

You guys have the Omni Book? Talk about really hard lines to play on guitar!

What are the best Bird collections?

Also, I just got a bunch of the old Dave Baker bebop books off of Ebay. These are really excellent at taking you step by step through how to construct bebop lines. Highly recommended!

As long as we're talking French. Jackky Terrasson. He was on the radio this morning. The most expressive pianist I've heard in years. The A' Paris album also has some great Birelli on it. Wink

Lately,

1. Miles Davis (always)
2. Joe Zawinul
3. Beethoven Late String Quartets ( the ones toward the end when he was deaf. Mindbending stuff )
4. Dianna Krall
5. Nina Simone
6. Buddy Rich Big Band
7. Wayne Shorter
8. Jaco Pastorius
9. Talking Heads ( "Remain in Light " in my car for the last week.)
10. Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" or for Elizabeth " Sacres de Printemps" Hope I spelled it right.
