Hi:
After I listened to Robben Ford at Yoshi's in Oakland, last Friday, I decided to join this message board to keep in touch. I just think that he is one of the greatest guitar players I've ever heard. Playing the guitar myself, I know what I am talking about. I heard Robben before on my boyfriend's i-pod as he is a big fan and watched a live concert on tv here in CA that got recorded in Germany, I think in the 80-ies (Live Music show had the name "PUR" and got recorded in Stuttgart).
I will soon see/hear Robben again playing with Tommy Castro in June at Villa Montalvo/Saratoga and look very much forward to it.
A little intro of munichmaedchen:
You can clone me by mixing a cup of Janis Joplin, Kathy Bates, and Heidi Klum in a crockpot. Toss in some Martha Stewart without the attitude and stir frequently until it boils over.
And if this is not enough, check out my weblog at http://inbetween.typepad.com/ _________________ My flickr:

Welcome aboard! Hope to read lots more posts in the months and years ahead. And Robben at Yoshi's is about as good as it gets in this life ('tho a night with Robben at SoHo in Santa Barbara -- which I enjoyed about two years ago -- comes real close). Enjoyed your blog, especially that you include the great Candye Kane in your roll. As for your location being "in-betweenland," don't knock Cupertino. You're right in the Heart of Rock and Roll (if not the blues) with wonderful venues just over the hill in Santa Cruz, up in the City, of course JJ's in San Jose, a neat place in Freemont that BunnyLover has been promoting on this board, not to mention those daytime shows that Shane Dwight frequently does at street fairs down in Morgan Hill. I envy you everything except your housing prices.

Thank you for the warm welcome and for letting Cupertino look so uhm exciting :-) I love all the places you mentioned. Just visited the Fountain Blues Festival at San Jose State and the Santa Cruz Blues Festival in Aptos. Haven't checked out Morgan Hill yet though. JJ-s is almost in my neighborhood (yup, the one with the idiotic high housing prices, dammit)
I will check out the place in Santa Barbara you mentioned, once I get there.

The thing about photo page links: Wow, everyone seems to having so much fun! Your photos of the Santa Cruz Blues Fest really made me wish I'd been there. As for the shot from the Oakland A's game: What, you don't do this every Sunday when the A's are in town? (We've been part of a Dodger season ticket group since '81. Our younger daughter was born the night the Dodgers flew home from New York after beating the Yanks in Game Six of that year's Series. Had she been a boy, we were going to name her Fernando.)
Oh yeah, and the blue toenails are OK, too. _________________ - BlueRunner

Thank you! Baseball game every Sunday? Have merci with a German soccer fan :-) I do like baseball, I have to say, but I rather go to the beach watching the surfer boys on Sunday :-) _________________ My flickr:
