Bonnie Raitt...

I saw her on TV the other day playing through an Overdrive Special with a matching bottom.

She coaxs some nice tones from her Strat.

Great singer too!

You don't seem to know that she can seriously kick asses & balls, well i mean literally , not guitar speaking. She can makes you beg your mom

I love Bonnies tones for what she does. She always seems to get that cool loose slide thing. Not as messy as some but not as tight and clean as someone like Derek Trucks (who I also love). Remember, that after being inspired by hearing Robben in Palo Alto, Dumble took one of his first prototypes to David Lindley. The amp has always had a connection to slide players.

Wonder where she got it. Since there are only so many, and even Santana had to resort to buying from Ultrasound. Last e-bay listing I saw was starting at $25K.

Caught Bonnie's show at Ravinia (north suburbs of Chicago) Friday night. A killer show.

Bonnie's slide playing was wonderful and right up front in the mix, the band was deep in the groove, and the selection and pacing of tunes was really tasty. Bonnie's also a very funny and entertaining presence.

And that voice--wow. Just got stronger as the night went on. Amazing to me that she can belt out the rock, soul, and bluesa all night, and still have the pipes to nail something as beautiful as "Angel from Montgomery" to close the evening.

It's been years since I last saw Bonnie live, and that's a mistake on my part.

We had lawn seats, and I couldn't get a good enough view of her equipment from the back of the pavilion to make a confirmed Dumble sighting. But it sure sounded Dumble-esque: that same rich, dirty-but-clean tone I associate with Dumbles.

Great show, and highly recommended.

like your Alias name, sweet emotions can be drawn out simple stuff, like a regular fender tube amp . Magic is in life , no more no less, the way you're gonna beat the shit out the Axe plus the fact the amp you own is factory good.
What dumble ?????
