Hope you enjoyed the show, Marin. Robben did a longer set with an extra encore number and signed probably at least 100 autographs, because the audience was so nice.

Was that you who called out to me from the front of the stage right before we started? Sorry I had little time to chat. But the response to Robben's new CD is growing, the audiences are getting bigger, and the venues are getting rebooked becuse of increased ticket sells, so I have been swamped with work.

Hope you had a good time. We are looking at maybe an extended Italian tour (along with possibly more Europe) next summer because of the response.

Hi Daved,

no, I believe it was Perleb the Bluelobster who called you. I am taller and more handsome but still wear glasses. Wink

You looked busy so we just let it drop. Afterwards there where those freaks that wanted to get one stage....

I just posted my review under BlueLobster thread. I had a funny feeling about last night....was everything OK?

http://www.online-discussion.com/RobbenFord/viewtopic.php?t=220

Please bear in mind that the general response of the audience and in the local newsgroups was good. It's just that, as a 21-year-long-standing fan, I feel I that I should have more "critical" eye.

There is certainly a growing interest in Italy regarding Robben's work, especially with the younger people. I am glad that Robben played in Milano after so many years (5, I believe).

Take care and say hello to Robben and the guys.

Thanks

marin

Daved,

Did I hear well ???
Are you serious about that Robben will do more shows in Europe next year ? THat will be great becaus : you know now how small distances are in EUROPE but if there are more "Robben Ford gigs" around EUROPE we can drive from gig tot gig and support Robben and you and his band more then ever !!! THat will be great, isn't it ?
So Daved, hold on to your words you just said and try to catch Robben and hear him out that it will be oké, doing more gig around Europe next year !!!!

Greetings,
Fill from Brussels.

Yes, Robben definitely wants to return next year, maybe for summer festivals.
I heard him have a serious discussion with the Italian promoter at dinner one evening about possibly coming back for 2 weeks in Italy later in the year.
