whats the best way for me to get into jazz? i really love robbens playing and ive made up a few of my own jazz licks in spite of his style but i know no theory besides some basic scales (major,minor,pentatonic,blues, a touch of the phryigian style) no chord theory at all of always been from more of a hendrix school. So some help on theory and some jazz ideas would be great, thanks.

Then go to the library, find some of tunes mentioned on CD, and try to work them up.

i was also really curious about some of those licks that robben plays .. you know the faster jazz licks that he throws in ... ... some idea or tab on those would be great as well..
