Hi there, I just saw Robben for the first time tonight so I decided to go ahead and join the forum. Dave was really nice and told me you guys were just awesome, that you would answer any questions I had etc. But he also said to look out for some French dude....Blue something I think it was...oh well... |

OH Oh, Now your gonna get me in trouble with our favorite Blobby.
Blob's cool... just French and a little hard to understand at times with a bent towards picking on the new guys once in awhile to keep them alert and on their toes.
Great people around here and Blob helps keep the mix stirred up so it's always fresh.
Hope you enjoyed the show tonight.
Join the party around here and you'll find most everyone is eager to help out the newcomers... even Blue Lobster. (Don't mind me... I'm diseased with rythym... just ask Blob!) _________________ B C-ing U!

TotallyObsessed: Welcome aboard!
Sounds as if Robben got to you with last night's show at the Coach House. Here's a question: What about show opener Shari Puorto? We've never heard her, but she's going to be a a roadhouse just up the way here tomorrow afternoon. Worth the drive?
Hope your 4 posts go to 400 soon. _________________ - BlueRunner |

Haha oh yeah he got to me alright.
Shari was pretty good, she can definitely sing. The band's guitarrist Mike something was a pleasant surprise for me, he was good! He played this '87 PRS, custom made with the same piece of wood. I talked to him a bit and he said he had had it signed by Santana but he did something and ended up having a reverse of the signature on a piece of paper but not on the back of his guitar. Ah well, overall the band was great, really entertaining.
The bass was really impressive, even more so for my friend who I brought along who played bass for a year and a half before switching to guitar. The bassist played a 6 string fretless bass, it was cool.
If you do end up seeing the show keep on eye on that bassist, he moves alll over the place! |

Welcome aboard TotalObs. You might have been really openminded to catch all these good vibes. The problem with Daved is that not only he is diseased with rythm but with music too.... |

Danny, welcome. You've found the best forum in the universe.
And, don't worry about the Blobby-meister, he's really cool. Can get outta control at times, but he's just a human reminder that we're not perfect and things happen and this is life. I don't think you'll meet a more sincere and honest person on the net.
As far as Daved goes, he's the absolute best. Never met anyone who's on, and been, in the inside like this man. And, considering the celebrity that he's been involved with in his storied career, he'll always take the time to talk with me and you...
Later, and enjoy!

Oh I don't doubt that for a second! I met him at the show at the Coach House, I went up to ask him how old Robben's Goldtop Les Paul was and ended up getting into a good half an hour long conversation! I've never had that kind of experience where I can talk to the tech of the guitarrist I'm going to a show to see! _________________ -Danny |
