I'm looking for audio editing software for my friend for his Mac that will import wave files from CDs (commercial or home made) and convert them to MP3, WAV, or any other audio format. I would like to find something in vein of Wave Lab Essentials (PC version only $99). There are many shareware programs available for the PC, but I can’t find any for the MAC. Can someone lead me in the right direction?
The programs I've seen for the Mac are full blown software suites that cost a serious bundle.

iTunes does it........just insert the cd, check off the tunes you want, and click import in the upper right hand of the app. That's the easiest way.........

I'm aware of that, thanks.
Perhaps I was not specific enough in my original post. I need to be able to edit the waveforms to make audio clips to post on the web in MP3 and Real Audio formats using a Mac. _________________ Rod
