The video of "Born under a bad sign" from (I think) the Clint Eastwood movie "Pink Cadillac". It's crazy!
Shot at Robbens personal storage of vintage guitars?

I wonder if it was a director's thing? I never pegged Robben as a 'show-off every guitar I've got' kind of guy (though I'm sure he has more than that!). No sign of the Fender signature though! Or the '60 tele.
Some pretty unusual 'Robben choices' there also (strats/Gretsches for example. |

That was great!
Are you sure the Tele I saw isn't THE 60's tele we know and love today? I saw a couple of others in there I recognized - the tobacco strat, the 335. But I gotta guess several were loaners 'cuz I can't see Robben with a Flying V, but of course, I could be wrong.
It is pretty strange though, huh? What the point of playing 12 different guitars. I've got a dollar that says it wasn't Robben's idea. _________________ "Somebody's got to make some music around here." - Robben Ford |

My eyes aren't what they were but I thought that blonde tele had a maple neck? I'll watch it again to make sure.
Edited to add: Yep, check it out at 0.27 definitely a maple neck!
I couldn't see the point of playing so many different guitars in one video, I think it detracted from the song/playing and got slightly ridiculous (then again what do I know).
I'm with you JC I seriously doubt it was Robben's idea (RF seldom even tours with more than 2 guitars as opposed to someone like Knopfler who seems to have a different one for each song). |

Does Will Lee sing on any other songs with Robben beside "I put a spell on you" ? _________________ Travelling by train of thought |
