Hi, Everyone,
Usually I am turning people away from Robben's clinics. I don't recall one that wasn't completely sold-out. However, the upcoming October 14th clinic in Ojai is only half-full at this time! I suppose that's fortunate for the people who will be attending, as they have more quality time with him and much more personal attention. However, as of today we have room for fifteen more people! I've been to two of these: one in Ojai and one in Seattle--and I few out from Michigan to do so. So for those of you who have not gone, here's a recommendation: GO TO A CLINIC!! You will be really glad you did!

What really bugs me is that he was here in Vancouver for a clinic in August and I didn't know about it!!!

What would be great is if Ford put out a book with his philosophies on music, etc. Then all of us who cannot afford to travel to Cal could get in on some of it. I wonder if Daved has ever suggested this to Robben. I'm not talking a book with the usual 'songs transcriptions', but a more peroonal biography type of book. He's certainly been around long enough to tell some stories. I've also got that 'zen' book Robben recommends, and yes, it is good to read every few months to keep you in the right frame of mind.

By the way, the gigantic "Day Fire" in the Sespe Wilderness in the mountains above Ojai is finally contained. (At over 200,000 acres, there wasn't much left to burn anyway.) So the air's clear again.

All in all, it would be a good time to come to one of the Clinics.

BlueRunner: Thanks for the fire update. I was going to contact Anne early next week to make sure Robben's clinic wasn't affected, but it sounds like all's well. It should be a great time..........and, my wife and I are spending a couple of extra days touring the local wine country.

The fire never really threatened Ojai as much as it sounded like it on CNN. The smoke has been cleared for over a week, no problem.
