Have any of you heard the Yellowjackets' remastered first album? It was great in 1981, and it sounds even better now--and the four additional tracks burn!
No Robben Ford fan should be without it...

While checking out the above recommended remastered first Yellowjackets album, I noticed a dvd called Yellowjackets 25 (or something like that). Here's the description:
"Guitarist Robben Ford and his Yellowjackets love to playfully work seemingly disparate styles into their music. This live recording sees them performing in celebration of their 25th year together, and the concert footage is complemented by interviews, archival footage, and an album of their best excursions into jazz fusion. "
Anyone have this dvd? Is it recommended for every Robben Ford fan as well? |

Hi!
Yes, I recommend this DVD/CD. I bought it 2 weeks ago!
Its a DVD and CD set. The CD has 8 live songs on it:
Revelation, Geraldine, Jacketown, Sea Folks, Free Day, My Old School, Grenhouse and RunForYerLife.
A lot of live stuff is recorded on the DVD which cointains a live show, bonus live-recordings, Behind the scenes and so on...Very good!
The Band on both recordings is: Bob Mintzer, Russell Ferrante, Jimmy Haslip and Marcus Baylor.
Robben is not playing on any of these songs. But, there's a very long interview with all of the members off the YJ's and also Robben Ford!
Robben is very relaxed sitting on the couch and talking very precise about his music business back in 80s, L.A. scene, musicians and the real start of the Yellowjackets Band...
Take a look!
Hope my little impression helps you!
Greetings from Germany
