Robben Ford Discussion

Hi,
I'd like to know what kind of pickups are installed on the Robben's tele..
Are they originals 60's ?
It seems Robben often plays on both position, is it true ?
Excuse my bad english, I'm an old guitarist and composer from Paris France ; I talked with Robben when he played at the "New morning" in 2001 and I use to see all his concerts in France !
I've composed a little tribute to him called "Mister F" and in my dreams he give me impressions about this song and all tracks of the album ("JAW-BREAKER)..

Hi there and welcome to the board!

As far as I know Robben's blonde '60 tele has the original pickups, but I seem to recall one of them has been rewound by Lindy Fralin at some point.

Different sources name either the front or back so I can't be sure.

Perhaps Daved would jump in and correct on confer?

Original pickups on his blonde 60's Tele but the neck pickup was rewound by Fralin many years ago...or was it the bridge?....No, I think it was the neck pup.
