The Sarasota Blues Festival was a lot of fun !
This year's headliner was Gregg Allman & Friends. Other bands featured were Magic Slim & The Teardrops, Maria Muldaur, & Devon Allman's Honeytribe.

So, Andrea, that WAS you waving to me from the side near the chain link fence, wasn't it?
I thought so, but by the time I could get over there to say "Howdy" a few minutes later, you were gone and I couldn't find you in the crowd.
Sorry I missed you, but glad you had a good time. _________________ B C-ing U!

Hi Daved, yes, that was me waving "hi" from the fence after Devon's or Maria's set. You were kind of busy with cords & wires, but I saw you nod. There must of been almost 10,000 people in the park by the start of Magic Slim & the Teardrops. It was great show. _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

RW for the B's: Thanks for the great photos! Always nice to see (or hear) the Hilgirl. Definitely one of the best drummers around. As for Ana, could you please ask her to come back out this way soon? Somehow I've never been able to catch up with her live when she's made it to the West Coast. And Omar & The Howlers almost NEVER get out here. So ask them to come on out, too. _________________ - BlueRunner |

Bluerunner, maybe you should go to the Riverwalk Blues Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, FL., March 2, 3 & 4, 2007. Ana is already on the schedule and they should be posting the names of many more performers in the few weeks. www.riverwalkbluesfestival.com _________________ Travelling by train of thought |

Nice pics, RW.
BRunner, for more pics of the Tampa Blues fest, check out Alf Hermida's website. Lot's of great shots of Alf, Robben, Hil, and of course, Daved. Makes me wish I had been there.

Thanks for the link, PaulG. Alf has some great shots there.
Is the weather in Tampa as nice as it looks in the photos? _________________ - BlueRunner |
