I have been able to replace my stolen ZenDrive!!!!
I am an extremely happy camper!
Thank you all --- and god bless the "A"ngel that came through for me.
LVC
I know this is a stretch -- but does anybody have an extra Zendrive they are willing to part with?
I had two - made mistake of selling one (pre-hype prices) -- and I had my other one stolen out of a gig bag....not good. I am not a happy camper.
I need a Zendrive.
Willing to pay cash -- or trade a pedal plus cash.
Please PM if you can help me out.
Thanks

Sorry you got ripped off. May they burn in hell!
I believe one went for over $400 last week on Ebay. Looked like a dealer.
Absurd! |

I love my Zendrive. I wouldn't take $400 for it.

Dang, I'm really gettin' itchy for the one I ordered in May.
I hope it comes through soon. |

It sucks -- I had two and sold one about 4 months ago -- I had pedal in a gig bag -- funny thing is I also had a Landgraff in bag -- guess the thief did not see it.
I am willing pay 100% cash or -- or a combination of cash and a pedal or two in trade.
I will be pissed if I end up buying back my own pedal.
Both of my pedals were marked up with black dots for settings (similar to picture of Robben's Zendrive that was posted here a while back).
Well hopefully someone will part with one if they have 2 (like I did)

Welcome to the board LVC!
well I will be seeing Robben next Tuesday, I'll ask him if he has any spare
No, but seriously, (the above was in bad taste, I know), I have a friend who I gave my spare Zen to. I'll ask him if he is willing to part with it, and if he is I'll put him onto you.
I hope your luck changes,
Cheers,

Does anyone have the link to this post? I would like to see Robben's settings on the unit.

Actually, DD, the Zen Robben is using over here this time is my spare, the one I keep for use with Derek Trucks.
(Derek's original was stolen along with the rest of his gear last year and Alf graciously expedited a new one to me for Derek's use with ABB when competing with Warren Hayne's volume. ) _________________ B C-ing U!

Hi Daved,
good to hear from you again, and good to see you'll be in full control of the proceedings on Robben's '06 tour.
I will be at Nottingham (Rescue Rooms) next Tuesday, bringing along a couple of new Robben fans for their first Robben gig, so we are all really looking forward to it, and I will hopefully get chance to say a quick hello to you too (you are always one busy, busy guy).
I know the subject of the Dumble amp, Robben's tone (and how it is achieved) etc has been the centre of many discussion in the past, but for me, hearing Robben playing through his Dumble rig is the icing on the cake. So I will be a little disappointed from the gear perspective that it will not be taking an airing this time round. On the other hand, this will be my first occassion that I have heard Robben without his Dumble rig, so I am curious to see what his Zen & loan amps can produce sonically. Ultimately, I am just happy to have the chance to hear & see him perform again.
Will there be a support act or special guest at Nottingham? I hear Larry Carlton is in the UK about this time, and that he will also be joining Robben in Paris.
All the best,
DD
P.S: Sorry to go off the subject on this thread, LVC. I haven't forgotten to find out about a Zendrive for you. _________________ Music is the universal language; speak it with emotion, listen with a passion. |

On the subject of stolen gear, I recently read somewhere that you can now have whatever instrument or piece of gear micro-chipped. Don't know about cost or any other details, but it may be worth checking into... |

Yes! But, we've yet to crack the ever-elusive secret of Robben TONE! Zendrive pedals with Sharpie dots marking Robben's settings; Dumble-esque boutique tube amps with Weberlestion super twin Mo' Blues Alley speakers; Squier Esprit guitars with pickups specially rewound by Hare Krishna himself; "Bluesman Extra-Feel" finger tip implant surgery by Dr. 90210; BlueNote's patent-pending "Robben Tone In A Can"; and, a plethora of other savvy, inventive, and imaginitive enhancements, none of which, or any combination of any or all, has yet to bring any of us to that Holy Grail of Robben TONE Nirvana!
What does any of this have to do with micro-chipping and saving us all? Who the hell knows and cares, really. Where's Blobby?! |

The Zendrive is an recognizable pedal --- same as Landgraffs --- both fetch ridiculous $$ on ebay
--- people will pay up -- they do not care if pedal was stolen.
Boutique pedal builders should consider doing something similar to what Bill Finnegan (designer and maker of Klon) is doing. He keeps track of all Klon users.
All Klons have serial numbers in them and he has a database of owners with their S/N #s.
By the way -- Klon -- a most excellent OD pedal |
