If anyone is interested, here's a copy of the flier from the Larry Carlton/Robben Ford shows at the Blue Note in Tokyo.

Thanks Bill!
I see Robben is yielding the Les Paul in the photo, which Larry gave him.
I look forward to the DVD from their recent colaboration.
Cheers,

Yes, although when Larry announced it on the last night, he said "to be released in Japan", so I don't know if/when it will be out in other countries.

Bill, is this the same gig that filming for the proposed DVD was taken? Please keep us all posted of the release of the CD in Japan.
All the best,

Thanks a lot for the flier.
By the way, there's a copy floating around of a DVD of their concert at the Tokyo Jazz Festival (before the Blue Note concerts), it was broadcasted on some japanese TV (actually it's not the whole concert, it's 22mns long). |

At the last clinic Robben mentioned it was recorded for both CD and DVD! _________________ "Somebody's got to make some music around here." - Robben Ford |

I specifically asked Robben if the Blue Note shows would be recorded for a DVD and he said no (in fact, he seemed surprised that I even asked). I did see one small video camera set up on a tripod in the balcony one night, but I don't believe that the video from a single stationary camera would be adequate for a DVD release.
The Tokyo Jazz festival that took place the day before the Blue Note shows started was broadcast on Japanese TV, and I think they did 3 tunes for that show. I have the tape but I haven't had time to watch it or dump it into the computer. One of these days.
