As for vocals, Ford is a tenor, right?

To my knowledge (which is lacking Wink ) Robben rarely sings over a high A, I guess this puts him in a tenor range rather than a counter-tenor.

Anyone please feel free to prove me wrong!

Cool All I know is that (a) in college chorus they always threw me in with the baritones, and (b) just about anything Robben does, I have to lower a whole step or it sounds like someone stepping on the cat.

I've heard Robben sing thru the years ... I'm thinking dating back to a live song or two he did with the Yellowjackets back at the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, CA (by the pier, but now since gone). Larry Carlton used to play there as well. While I know little about whether he's a tenor or a baritone, etc. - I can say this ... Robben has tremendously improved his singing ability, as if, it's a certain priority. He also seems to go to great lenght to protect his voice as though it were his main instrument. For me, this guy is not only one of the greats on guitar - he's great to listen to live. I once preferred that he did not sing - now I love it.

This man is a real talent.

I'd say he's a ten or eleven...maybe 9.5 on an off night. Laughing

When I played C&W years ago we would get people coming up to the stage to ask: "can you guys play "Far, Far Away"?
