Dal told me that a station in Texas has now added Robben to their playlist, a station in Austin (something like KGSR, maybe?).
Dal says this goes a long way towards getting Robben back into Texas and the south for gigs. Call your stations, support his album, and maybe he'll show up in your neck of the woods next year _________________ B C-ing U!

What about getting him in the Charleston, SC area? Or House of Blues in Myrtle Beach? |

KGSR.com is the web site for the Austin station - pretty cool station, lots of local artists, community awareness stuff, interviews. And speaking of Austin, Dal should lobby to get Robben on Austin City Limits - talk about exposure. Just get on the phone and call Terry Lickona. They have had loads of artists on the show that have much slimmer resumes (and less talent) than RF. |

Well since I'm in Austin,I'll do my part and call KGSR(107.1). And tell a few friends who dig Robben to do the same. His music is a perfect fit for the station's format.
I know Texas is a little off the path but once you get here, you got Austin,San Antonio,Dallas(big blues scene), and Houston.
And yeah,ACL would be another big reason to come. The folks over there have even started the ACL Music Festival. This Sept. will be the third year.
Keeping my fingers loose and crossed. If my memory is correct,it was Oct. '95 when Robben last come thru.

Consider Alaska in the summer - especially if you like fishing! _________________ garylamarLOUDguitar |
