Does anyone have the link to this post? I would like to see Robben's settings on the unit.

Hello Vinni,

This link to a photo of Robben's Zendrive is in the topic "Er, Zendrive again folks" or something like that. Do a search for "zen" and "photo" and you'll find it. Here is the link with the photo. Scroll down to the "mentoneman" post.

Thank you Pablo. I appreciate that very much!

I am just knocked out as to the amount of high end in this setting! Wow! As any Zendrive owner would tell you, that is a lot of treble in that setting.

Just a thought, LVC, have you tried contacting Alf? From my conversations with him, he is very into getting this pedal out in front of the public (in spite of the backlog and internet buzz). He may be more into supporting known users who are out there showing the pedal off to best advantage.

Make's me consider that I ought to register my Klon with Bill, if I can get it back from the buddy I loaned it to when I got my Zen. :D

Yes ---

As I stated in my "Update" --- Zen was replaced by an "A"ngel.

God Bless him for understanding and helping me out.

As far as Klon goes --- I found out about the serial registry from Bill after I called with some questions regarding a Gold horsey Klon I picked up on a trade ------ so it is definitely a good idea to at least shoot him an email with your contact info and Klon SN#.

It is a sad statement of some fellow musicians and hang-ons --- but some of the boutique pedals have become so valuable that you need to be careful and take appropriate precautions -- especially at rehearsal studios and gigs where audience can get to your equipment.

I'll bet I know who your "A" ngel was who helped you out. Alf is not only a prodigy when it comes to guitar tone- he is also very kind and takes care of individual. He takes care of his players. I just hope mine never breaks, beacause its part of my family now and Alf is soooo overworked I worry about him.javascript:emoticon('Cool')

Man, I wish mine would finally come up on his list. I put my order in back in May.

All I can say is that the ZD is worth the wait. The hype is all true. Thats why virtually ALL of the top Nashville pickers are going it as their go-to dirt box.Just like adding a couple of extra gain stages to your amp. No fizzy fizzy "hairband" sh** . Good luck!javascript:emoticon('Razz')

AH yes the Zendrive. My heart goes out to the cat who lost his to the hands of the cowardly thief. I got mine last summer and my first reaction was not what I thought it would be. I nievely (spelling?) thought I would open the box and viola all my tone problems are solved. Wel lI'm happy to report that it took a week or so of fine tuning and now I use it exclusively and each time i find I like it more. That brings me to the actual point of this post, before I get on the list to get on the list for another one has anyone compared the zen to the zen with the tube in it? If there wasn't a year long wait, I would try both and compare then send one back. I want a back up incase the same bastard steals mine, or I wear it out however I'm intregued by the tube zendrive II. thanks.

Don't know if anyone is checking this thread but as a newbie, I'm chasing down certain things like Robben's tone and the elusive Zendive! I've been on the waiting list for around a year now and regularly send groveling e-mails to Alfonso. He didn't fall for the one where I claimed to be Robben's 2nd cousin-twice-removed.......

I am really enjoying the general banter here and just crapped myself looking at Daiatonicdudes' shots of Robben's gear. Just when I thought I had the perfect rig........The good news is that I recently acquired a Boss RV-3 pedal from North carolina which is worth every penny of the extra duty I paid for it! Pending the Zendrive, I am using a rather wonderful Fulltone OCD and Barber LTD to jiuce up my Telecaster/Bassman tones and my goodness me, isn't it lovely being a guitar player?

Lucky you! Hang onto that puppy. Robben tells me he's been having problems with his recently and I told him to get it to me to see if I can fix it for him (He's had and used his since before I came onboard almost 9 years ago).

I've searched heavily and found that the RV-3 is nearly impossible to get, even used, these days... so if you managed to get one, don't let it out of your possession!

Surprisingly, since Boss quit making it, no one makes any kind of a similar reverb/delay pedal anymore.

Daved

I'm a bit torn here; on the one hand, I can keep my prized RV3 or on the other, I can offer to give it to Robben if he agrees to come round for dinner and a jam. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
