Daved,

do you know anything about this possibility?

This topic/question has been raised before (at the time of the last UK tour), and I suppose this is a bit late in the day to raise the topic, but is there any chance Robben will perform on the UK Jools Holland TV show while he is over in the UK? This show would be a perfect platform to allow the UK public who are unaware of Robben's talents, to see/hear Robben do his stuff.

If there isn't any luck with this, will he record any radio programme, or hold any clinics, etc?

Cheers,

DD

Sorry, DD.

I don't know of any broadcast shows or clinics being done this time around.

However, let me say, Robben is having a GREAT time, commented to me as we stepped off the plane from America that he is very glad and enthused to be here doing this tour. He has also mentioned several times to me and others here that he plans on doing heavy touring next year in support of his next album and extensive touring on this side of the pond.
I would imagine that if he is planning strong album support & promotion that things like the Jools Holland show would be up for consideration.

Hi Daved,

thanks for the reply. It is good to hear that Robben is in good spirit, and pleased to be here in the UK again. Even better news to hear of the new year tour and Euro tour (UK too!). Can't wait for the new CD & DVD, too. Ask Dal to try and organise the Jools Holland show appearence, that would be cool.

Look forward to catching the show, tomorrow,

Cheers,

DD

Daved, please mention to Robben that he has a substantial fan-base here in the New England area, and that after his European stint, we would love to have him take a rest stop here before continuing on to CA and do an impromptu show at one of our local establishments. How about an acoustic ditty without the hassles of the electric show setup, just a 6-stringer or two? 14 Buswell Avenue, Methuen, would most graciously host an acoustic show, with good ol' home cooking and nice red wine... Wink Or, there's plenty of other great little places that would love to host a night with Robben Ford... Wink Very Happy Cool

...what would be great to see is Robben team up with John Mayall, i think this would be an outstanding gig to experience, full backing singers too, Robben and Buddy Whittington would have me totally mesmerized!!!

Shocked
