Hello fellow UK members.

I need someone's help in purchasing Beatles stamp recently released in the UK. I tried buying direct online, but after numerous errors that I can't seem to correct, I've given up. I'm looking for a volunteer to purchase the stamps and to mail them to me. Of course, I will pre-pay all costs.

Here's what I'd like to buy:

Qty 2- The Beatles Presentation pack. £5.15 each. £10.30 for 2.

Qty 2- The Beatles stamp cards. £3.30 each. £6.60 for 2.

total: £16.90 (+ mailing cost)

Please email me at jszabo17@comcast.net . Thank you!

Hey Johnny,

Those sound intriguing. Where can I find more info on them? I might be interested in picking up a set or two myself.

I have a framed-under-glass block of limited edition John Lennon stamps from the Republique Du Tchad that I purchased back in the 90's hanging on my wall. Pretty cool, I must say.

The Beatle stamps would go nicely with my Lennons, I'm quite sure. Wink

Here you go, Daved- http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/shop?catId=9300091&pageId=shp_prdlist&category=cat41450006

The problem I had when trying to order was telephone number (kept coming up as invalid). I tried several combinations, including country code, with the + sign, without it, etc., then finally gave up. Unfortunately, it's a required field to process the order. If you give it a try and you succeed, please let me know what the secret code is... Very Happy

I guess I didn't try every possible telephone number configuration. The secret is all numbers and no hyphens or spaces. And, it liked 01 for the country code in front of the area code. So, my order was accepted and will hopefully process successfully...

Hey guys, if you get any further problems ordering the stamps, drop me a pm with your requirements and I will be more than happy to oblige. BTW, I've seen the stamps and they are very nice, collectable items, so you should be very pleased.

Daved, I have been looking out for your W&G T-Shirt, but still have not found anything to date. I'll keep you posted if I come across one Smile

All the best,

DD

DDudeman, thanks for the kind offer, but as I wrote in a previous post, I figured it out and got my order through. I'm sure I'll be pleased with it. Glad to see that Daved got his order in too!

Thanx for the offer, DD.

It appears that my purchase went thru online, so hopefully all will be fine. I'll let you, and Johnny, know when the stamps arrive.

(Incidently, I've started a MySpace account at the request of several friends. It's at: http://www.myspace.com/tunetech If you check it out, be sure to look closely at the tie I am wearing in the picture of me, Gregg & his wife... it's one of my favorites. I picked it up at the Beatles shop near the Sherlock Holmes 'Museum' on Baker Street in London a few years back.)

And thanx for continuing the W&G search for me, DD. I appreciate your diligence. Laughing I really don't think I have much hope in finding another of those tees. But IF it does happen, I think it will only be thru a Brit somehow.

Which reminds me, I also need to respond to an older 'chicken' post from Stratoskier while I'm on this subject.

Daved, awesome profile page! Love the slideshow. You've travelled the world, seen the sights, and met more famous and talented people than I can imagine. Been there and done that extraordinaire! And, that is one great tie! Thanks for all you share with us...

P.S. Walking on that famous Abbey Road crosswalk is on my wish list...

Got my stamps yesterday. Although I didn't have time to closely inspect them, at quick glance, they look terrific!

Excellent, Johnny.

Hopefully mine shouldn't be far behind. Probably get them sometime next week.

I will, however, be in Atlanta all next week for rehearsals with the Allman Brothers Band so I won't be able to retrieve mine till I get back.
Something exciting to look forward to, I'm sure. Exclamation
