Sorry about the wait. Things were running a bit behind. The night before it was 60 degrees.
We recycled some tickets. Most people got a kick out of getting to use them after all.
It was good meeting David S and I believe we got to meet too. Saw Wolf as well.
From the overwhelming response it could very well happen again. We had to turn people away all day.

I went to the OKC show last night. Wow. If we hadn't had to stand outside in the cold for half an hour it would have been perfect. (I guess the band was running a little late and finishing up soundcheck. No big deal.)

We looked at our tickets while waiting to get in and they were from the cancelled 2004 show. Laughing So, after the concert we handed them to Robben to sign and I said, "yeah, I've had these tickets for three years!" He looked shocked and said, "Really?!" "Nah, I just got them yesterday."

About that time someone took a flash pic and Robben was done.

Anyway, great show.

What a great show--Robben played and sang even better than Santa Fe 2005 with Eric Johnson. He seemed more relaxed. Definitely worth the 7-hour roundtrip from Amarillo. The Roadhouse was cool and people were friendly. I sat behind a gentleman guitarist from Tulsa who also saw Robben in Santa Fe 2005. Thanks, Jim M. We'll be back as often as possible.

Hey guys, just got back to Dallas from the OKC show. One word...unbelieveable! Robben, Roscoe, and Brannen were on fire and were clearly having a good time. The venue was great and Jim has done an awesome job setting that up and bringing in some serious talent. After having Robben booked a couple years ago that had to canceled, last night was a sweet reward for the wait.

Gearwise, cherry 335 and the familiar Tele through a pair of Super Reverbs daisy chained, EB volume, and a TS808. The 335 got most of the playing time and had a nice big throaty sound to it. I wonder if Robben used this instead of the usual Les Paul since these dates were originally going to be with Stephen Bruton who plays a PRS which is more similar tonally to the Les Paul? One thing that really amazed was the tone of Robben's Tele when he swithced to the neck pickup. What a thing of beauty.

Great show, great musicians, great venue. What more can you ask for. Well maybe a little more frequent chance to see Robben. Very Happy
