I have posted replies a couple of times on this board and also on the old board. I am not really into surfing the web and getting involved in this sort of board activity, but my love for Robben's music and the quality of the content of this board have drawn me in.
Congratulations to Kirk95 and Elizabeth for getting this up and running, it seems to be working out much better than the old board.
I got into Robben when I won Mystic Mile in a competition from Gutarist magazine back in the early 90's (yes, I play guitar...). I had never heard Robben before and was not really into Blues. I was more into rock listening to bands like the Dan Reed Network and Joe Satriani among others. Interesting to read the connection with Daved.
Anyway, suffice it to say that that album blew me away, especially Misdirected Blues and Mystic Mile. I am now getting more into the blues as a result. I have seen Robben play the last three years in the UK and he just keeps getting better!

Welcome!
and....thanks for your kind words!
Mystic Mile - great CD and great tune - another one of Robben's killer minor blues. I also love "Nothing to Nobody" and "Moonchild Blues." All great twists on minor blues tunes!

I second that emotion, and you are from Manchester...just like Claude Hooper Bukowski
Claude Hooper Bukowski finds that it's groovy to hide in a movie
just like Fellini and Antonioni
and also his countryman Roman Polanski...

Thanks for the welcome, Elizabeth. I am from LA(lower Alabama), on the Gulf of Mexico. I run the parts department at a Buick dealership and have been playing in a trio for the past ten years. I flew to Connecticutt 2 years ago for a seminar with Robben and Ronnie Earl and got to hear them jam together. That was someting to hear! I visited your website and I see we share a love of the song "Revelation". I never get tired of hearing that. Thanks again for the welcome, and thanks for the great forum to you and also the captain.
