Anyone have an idea on the chords to the turnaround in Nothin to Nobody?
I have Dm / E7 / Am / D7 and then i think it goes to F7 but i get lost after that. Help?
Also there is a mysterious chord in the verse - on the second Dm7 ?
thanks. |

I'm traveling and don't have a guitar with me, however, I have the chart at home so if I remember correctly...
The first Dm is Dm9 and I believe the E7 has a #9 so
Dm9 / E7#9 /Am / D7
then that F7 on the turnaround (I think may also be F9)
then it's the same E7#9 again and back to Am.
What's the time stamp on that mysterious chord?
It's the bridge that's a little tricky, I think. Let me know if you don't have that figured out. _________________ "Somebody's got to make some music around here." - Robben Ford |

Monk,
Here's what I'm hearing,
Verse: (4 counts each)
Dm9 Dm9 Am7 Am7 Dm9 E7#9 Am7 Am7
Dm9 E7#9 Am7 D9 F9 E7#9#5 Am7 Am7 Am7 Am7
Hope this helps.

Hey guys, thanks for the help.
That mystery chord i was hearing is the E7#9! I thought it was a wierd voicing of the Dm9 but the E7#9 fits.
J - you mentioned that the bridge was tricky - you were right.
I get the following
D9 /D9 /D9 /D9 / F9 / E9 / Am
Then it sounds like it goes to some sort of C chord
C / C / B / Bb / Am Amim/maj7 / Am7 Am6 / C /E#9
I really doubt that the end chords are right. Any ideas?
This such a great tune and i really appreciate the help.
Thanks a lot! |

The E9 above is actually that same E7#9 again...

Very nice, you almost got it perfectly. Those first four chords are 7th chords but that C right before the E7#9 is actually Fmaj7 at the 8th fret. So you end up with:
C7 / C7 / B7 / Bb7 / Am Amim/maj7 / Am7 Am6 / Fmaj7 /E7#9
I use the following voicings:
C7 (same shape for B7 then the Bb7)
