I was hesitating in posting this but since Elizabeth "broke the ice", here we go...

Earlier on this month I attended Robben's show with BlueLob, arbeen, my friend Rudy and his wife Valeria.

Rudy is a great admirer of Robben and we have become friends through an Italian newsgroup, talking about Robben of course. Rudy is an architect by profession, a keen blues guitarist and IMHO a most talented photographer.

We both brought our camera's that night. I respected the no-flash policy and generated the smudgiest photo gunk that one can immagine. Rudy brought his old-style Nikon with a 800ASA film and took a few (6 or 7) well sought out shots.

I am here attaching what I find is the best photo of Robben I have ever seen. It sums up Robben as a whole: the guitarist, the musician, the bluesman, the man, the music, the passion, the humbleness, the eternal youth.....

Thanks Rudy. Smile

Marc,

I have been looking at it for days...it is so expressive.

I just had to show it to you people.

I can only take the credit for posting it here. The photo is by Rudy.

I am glad that it made you post. Smile

That is a phenomenal photograph. It is also a testament to Nikon, analog cameras, and black and white film...(did he push the ASA or shoot at 800...what kind of a lens did he use...brand of film, Agfa maybe???) Ewww, I sound like a gear head, huh?

Makes me glad I did not sell my Nikon F; I think I am going to have to dig it out and learn how to use it again.

Gorgeous! Spectacular! Molto benne! Que bella! Bravo Rudy!

Hi All , it's the eternal fight . Iwas there and i remember he said he had
to pûsh the ASA. So he was not really sure of the final look but he had great hope. It makes me think About how Black & white is Magic, when the photographer wait the right spot.
Blob.

What about Robben doing a live CD with THIS sort of cover art? I think that would really get the message across to potential buyers.
