Just went to robbenford.com and was surprised to see a fantastic looking new site for Robben!
The quality of the site for many years has not done Robben justice and I'm thrilled to see it get the attention it deserves!
Check it out:

And as if that weren't enough, there is an official announcement about the new album 'Truth' available in June!

Very nice, indeed!
I'm guessing that absolutely gorgeous guitar is one of those specially made Japanese models who's name I can't recall? |

It looks great! I was very pleasantly surprised this morning. Great photo's for the title page. JZ, was that a Sakashta? Oh well, that's close. I'll never have to ask for one at the guitar store anyway!

Very nice! It is about time, the previous site was looking a bit dated. |

Very, very nice. Photos are by George B. Wells, a Bay Area photographer with interesting work at www.georgebwells.com, who may be closely related (e.g., husband maybe?) to jazz singer Shea Breaux Wells (www.sheabreauxwells.com), who happens to be a friend of Anne's.
I'll be visiting this one a lot of times. _________________ - BlueRunner |

Wonderful photography and I like the way it was written and designed. Congratulations to everyone involved.

In fact, Mr. Taku Sakashta just emailed me about that and no, it is NOT a Japanese model but made by a Japanese American builder who has a residency in CA. IMNSHO, he is one of the best, if not the best, luthiers in this country.
Talk is cheap, if you can find/buy one, you will know what I am talking about. Peace, Ed
PS: I am not affiliated with him in anyway shape or form, business wise. His work has always been top notch and his work ethic is 2nd to none. A GREAT guy and very honest person.

eddie, thanks for the correct info and link. And, my apologies to Mr. Sakashta.
Sakashtasan! Can you build me one exactly like Robben's? |

So when I visited the new site I was on my work computer with the sound turned down. Then, I visted it on my home computer, but skipped right through the splash page (Enter page) because I'd seen it and was in a hurry to get to the good stuff.
So by chance today, I go back to the site but wasn't so quick to hit the Enter link and for the first time heard the music that plays on that page. Sweeeet! I assume it's from 'Truth' but of course don't know for sure. That will teach me to not be in such a hurry.
I'm getting more and more excited about the new release with every passing day. _________________ "Somebody's got to make some music around here." - Robben Ford |
