One more, then back to "larry and robben in london"...

Went to a Yes concert a few years ago. Over half-way through the show, Yes performed "The Ritual" from their Tales From Topographic Oceans album, my alltime favorite extended piece of theirs which they rarely played live. The entire show up till then, I endured constant chatter around me, including the guy and his girl next to me who bragged before the show about the 27 Yes concerts he's been to since the beginning of Yes time. Well, being one who has the knack of recognizing tunes in the very early notes, when I surprisingling heard the start of The Ritual, I suddenly and inexpicably yelled out "shut the f**k up!" at the top of my voice, then buried my head in a shamefull manner. While my head was in my hands, I realized that there was no noise around me and I could clearly hear the music! I looked up, and everyone in the entire section around me was sitting quietly and looking straight ahead. My guilt immediately left, and I wound up hearing and enjoying the next 20 minutes of that fabulous piece! Funny too, shortly after that, the people who weren't there for the music had left. Too bad they even went in the first place...

Well done! I don't mind whooping and cheering after solos or for an encore. But people who talk constantly should be taken outside and shot!
