My apologies if this has been asked before, but why was Robben using the Gibson 336 for a spell a few years back?

I'd assumed that Gibson had given him the Guitar to try / evaluate.

Did he not like it, or was there any other reason he stopped using it?

Hi Veldt666,
I remembered we had talked about that 336 a while back and did a search for it. I found a post from Daved saying that Robben had returned the 336 to Gibson, because he didin't see a need to keep it even though he enjoyed playing it. Robben mentioned in one interview that the 335 was a little uncomfortable for him because he plays a guitar higher up on his body than a lot of people. I think the 336 was an attempt to find a compromise as well as Gibson trying to get an endorsement.
