Wow ... the Crest in Sac Town ... is a great place for a concert. Yes, tickets are in hand. Last time at the Crest (it's been a few years) ... I saw Collective Soul in their prime. A great show! I wonder whatever happened to those guys. Some guy named Ross Childress could really play a live rock guitar. I think they've gone downhill ever since and perhaps just fell off the map. My feeling about the Crest ... just get in the door and you'll have a great time.
Last time I saw Larry Carlton was on the lawn at the Granite Bay Golf Club. He was performing for the Joe Morgan Celebrity Golf Tournament with a band called Four Play. He played one blues tune for the most part ... and for my money it was the best. Before that, it was the Golden Bear by the pier in Huntington Beach. I would wait in line to get a front seat. That and a band called the YellowJackets. |

That's an amazing video, hadn't seen that one, they stretch out a bit more, and it's more raucous than on the live disk. Nice, thanks man, |

Not really a bad seat at the Crest. I've seen Larry Carlton there a couple of times...both excellent shows. This one should be a great time for all. _________________ I'll be spending way too much time here... |

Woo Hoo!
Just finished 5 days at the Portland Waterfront Blues Festival, and found out about Robben & Larry Carlton in Portland August 5th. Will be getting my tickets this week, for sure! |

Just got back from a week's vacation in Portland. (That's right, when I go on vacation I go to the Rose city!)
Missed the Waterfront Festival, but I remember all the years I did live & work locally in Portland and all the great venues and festivals up there.
Good times.
Good times.
My friend Craig, most likely worked that festival. He's still a local and is called for all those shows. He and a few others I spoke with while there tell me that the Portland music scene is starting to revive and thrive.
Makes me happy to hear that. _________________ B C-ing U!
