It seems the Dutch TV NPS will broadcast the complete gig with LC&RF live by webcast. On full screen the quality is very good, at least when you have fast internet connection. RF&LC are scheduled on saturday july 14th from 21:30 till 22:30 (Dutch time). Here is the link:

Thanks for the link! I'm killing my last hour here at work watching it!
Also, catch Joe Bonamassa 1:45 earlier than the Larry Carlton Group.
And, yes, if someone can record and burn, I'd certainly appreciate a copy... _________________ Soul on Eleven |

I caught 10-15 minutes or so....its a shame I didn't see this post earlier.
actually, Robben and Larry are playing close to me on Friday, but I might not be able to go since I'm too caught up with business trip (I've just switched jobs). Damn, I was really looking forward to this gig.

I'm watching the night re run as I'm writing this.
Amazing stream quality in full screen
Wished I had been smart enough and hooked up the TV output of my laptop to my standalone HDD recorder...anyway due to my connection I have a few glitches, but that's astill amazing.
The music is great so far
A s a side note, I caugt the end of Raoul Midon's set, and the guy is really good, he sings like Al Jarreau and plays great solo acoustic guitar. |

Started watching the Joe Bonamassa gig at home, but the stream interruptions were too frustrating to watch. Then, I came back to watch the last 10 minutes of Larry & Robben, and still the stream gagged. But that was one heckuva jam!
Pierre, are you going to record the audio version? _________________ Soul on Eleven |

This is a great, I love the contrast between Robben and Larry. Robben in my opinion is more organic.
Does anybody know what guitar Robben is using, the 57 Les Paul? It also sounds like a Dumble amp.....am I right?
Where are the 2nd and 3rd tunes from? Larry's recordings?
I would like to download it but I can't read French and am unable to translate the page to English.
Thanks,

Just clic on "Télécharger ce fichier", and it should start the download.
From the video it seems that Robben was using the Sakashta guitar and a gold top Les Paul during the concert (certainly the 59 as it shows some wear). And it's the Dumble.
I think that tunes 2 and 3 are indeed from Larry Carlton. |

Pierre is right!
Robben played Les Paul Goldtop and Sakashta, Larry ES335.
They both used Dumbles, and sounded great.
No keyboards to be seen.
The sound in the hall was a bit echoey, and I hope someone posts a clip of a beautiful new Robben instrumental that they played.
The evening started with Steely Dan on the same stage, then Joe Bonamassa on the other, and then Robben and Larry.
Two of my dreambands in one evening!

Wow that was quite a nice bill !!!
A Steely Dan - Carlton+Ford jam would have been cool |

Yes,
I was kind of hoping that would happen, but it didn't.
Of course I don't know if they even met each other backstage, but a reunion with an old and important bandmember would have been the dream of many guitarplayers.
Not that the Dan needed any help; Jon Herington played some beautiful solo's staying true to the original, and weaving in great musical ideas of his own.
Robben and Larry were another guitarplayers dream; inspired playing; it was great to hear the two side by side, to hear differences and similarities in their playing.
Maybe I will give a review of the event later on; I still feel kind of too impressed with the whole evening to make sense really; like you just came back from holiday and have a hard time readjusting to the daily routine.
