Just stumbled across this. Honestly, I can't remember how I found it because it's not listed in any of Robben's usual tour dates info, as far as I know...

Apparently, Robben will be here in Boston (Bayside Expo Center) on Sat & Sun, 9/15 & 16. He's scheduled for 2 cd signing sessions and an "Up Close & Personal" session between the 2 days, plus performing in an "All-Star Guitar Night" on Sat (6-11pm) with the following:

Muriel Anderson
Robben Ford
Johnny A
Monte Montgomery
Frank Vignola
Trey Alexander
Mimi Fox
Bruce Arnold
Stu Hamm

Of the many pages on the event's website, this one's the most interesting and informative: http://www.premierguitarfestivals.com/Show/Boston/Seminar.aspx

I wonder why something like this where Robben is attending isn't more widely advertised, like on his tour schedule?

Sounds like a neat way to see Robben.

Re. the website....

Most of Robben's US dates with Larry (some of which were cancelled due to problems with their bus) were *never* listed on Robben's website, which is just sad.

Given the near complete lack of advertising or media coverage, it's quite possible I could have completely missed the fact that Robben was schedule to play here in Chicago if I hadn't happened to check Carlton's website. I shouldn't have to check Larry's website for opportunities to see Robben!

Someone obviously pumped time and money into the redesigned Robben website, which is a good thing. By comparison, keeping the "tour" page up to date should cost virtually nothing, and is probably far more important--both to his fans and to Robben's commercial bottom line.

I see the tour page has been updated recently with a few US dates, although not the Boston thing, so that's something at least.
