Frank........knowing that you're a player, I'm sure you'll fall in love with the music, as well as the production for the CD. Top-notch in both regards. And, as I said previously, Robben ia at the top-of-his-game! Let me know what you think after the CD arrives.[/i] |

Hey all, got my copy this weekend, and listened extensively, even through a nice Pa where I was setting up for a gig. Fantastic recording quality, very organic and natural, no digital artifacts or sizzly high end. And, of course, all the players are just superb. I like the cover of the old Larsen/feiten tune they did, it's funny to hear Robben play a solo, and then go back and listen to Buzzy, very different players. Just a great cd, it's at the top of my list right now.

Hello,
I'm new to this site.....last saw Robben @ Humphrey's in San Diego last year with Larry Carlton. Great show, what else ! Saw him the next morning in the parking lot, very shy & unassuming. Just an FYI to get started here. Wondered if anyone else was there. |

Just got my copy today and I'm having trouble getting it into iTunes because my Macbook Pro doesn't want to read the disc. The disk plays on a CD player and every other disc I try can be read by my computer. Not cool.

I just got mine today, too. So far, I love it. I'm listening to it for the first time right now. This is a great CD.

My copy is apparently on its way
This may be a trade off for the special format CD they have apparently used?!
I have an ibook, and usually put new CD's straight onto my ipod via itunes, so I will let you know if I have any problems. I may be able to read the disc on my work PC, burn it onto a standard CDR, and then use that for the importing of the trackes on itunes.
Cheers,

I think it must be something about the particular disc that my Mac doesn't like. I had to use my girlfriend's PC to import it then copy those files to my Mac. It was just a small inconvenience I guess.
I found it a little ironic though that inside the CD case is a blurb from the record company folks about how sound quality is deteriorating with the advent of iTunes and .mp3s, etc. I did import this one at a much higher bit rate than normal to compensate for the possible degradation.
I listened to just a couple of tracks last night and it sounds great! I can't wait to listen to the rest today. _________________ "Somebody's got to make some music around here." - Robben Ford

I always use Apple Lossless when importing to iTunes.
I haven't impoted Orbit on my iMac yet, but I'll try tonight to see if it works.
That green coating on the write-side of the disc is interesting. Never seen anything like it. Anyone know what purpose it serves? |

I also use a MacBook Pro and the tracks from Orbit imported into iTunes perfectly. Possibly, there was "somethng" wrong with the disc jconstant received. If possible, I'd try it on another Mac......just to see where the issue is. |

No import problems here with Apple Lossless on my iMac.
Still curious about the green coating though...
Listening as I type to track 4, Aztec Legend, which is awesome! |
