Robben put on a fantastic 2nd show 9/22 at Blues Alley in Georgetown (Washington, D.C.)

I was sitting about 10 feet away from the band! Very Happy

As MJB562 mentioned in his review, Blues Alley in Georgetown holds about 150 patrons. I've seen some great artists here in the past, including Joe Pass, Larry Carlton, Nancy Wilson, Stanley Clark, and others.

I caught the second show on 09/22, and got an up-close seat, though not directly in the line-of-fire of the double Twins.

Robben's pedal set up looked to be the ZenDrive, a wah-wah and a volume pedal.

Robben opened the set with "How Deep In the Blues" followed by "Lateral Climb."

The rest of the set as I can remember:

The Way You Treated Me
Lovin' Cup

Robben was backed by Gary Novak on drums, Andy Hess on bass, and D.C. icon Ron Holloway on tenor sax (http://www.ronholloway.com/homepage).

I have to agree with MJB562, I've never seen Robben seem happier, or play better than this.

I especially enjoyed "Freedom" and "The Way You Treated Me," both of which Robben really stretched out on.

This was a truly inspired perfomance.
