I saw Robben in Offenburg last night. There was no opening act, so Robben Toss and Travis hit the stage at 8.20. First I was in the seated area in the back but very soon I moved to the dance floor. Lateral climb was second. Set list as in other reports stated above. They just played along. Some songs they really opened up giving space for bass and drums solos and duos. It didn't all sound nice to my ears, sometimes really edgy, wild, spontaneous, creative. Unexpected things happened in their music, breaks, changes in speed and loudness; two sets 45 minutes each. Two encores, one from Tiger Walk. Although I've been to lot of live events in my long life this was really amazing for me, great, just great and very crazy. After the encore they turned the lights in the audience on and the room emptied. Later Robben was outside in the lobby at his CD stall. There was a long queue with people waiting for his autograph. He was really patient and in a good mood chatting to people. I first had an autograph on a CD. Later I went again and he gave me another autograph on my ticket.
I'm very happy I could make it there, it was just a great experience!

Thank you, Robben and crew!

Hi jconstant,

my letter is the one previous to your writing. I'm sorry I didn't sign it. Anyway: Since I'm back I've been listening to the CD again. The recordings are quite complex with overdubs and stuff and the more amazing it is that Robben and band played those songs just the three of them, a three piece band, and they came across really well.
So, jconstant, to come back to your question: as I stated above, I liked the concert really a lot. It is my absolute favorite and I won't forget it. I hope it is not the last time I can see Robben live!!

Went to see Robben again last night...
The guitar tech was introduced as his nephew Gabriel Ford, who then played two songs on the drums, on a different drumset, (together with Toss Panos).

Thanks Christian. I must have just missed your post. But I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed the concert!
