Hi all.
My brother in law has a Fender Esprit Ultra, which came fitted with the original Schaller pickups.
On my recommendation (ahem...maybe not a good one) he has bought some new pickups ( a WCR set) to replace those Schallers, but he seems to encounter problems as the way those Schallers are mounted there is nothing standard (in terms of screws or insert spacings, pickup rings etc...).
Is there some other Fender Esprit owners on the board who would have tried/done the same swapping thing and who could share his expertise ?

Thanks in advance.

Pierre

well pierre once i swapped a schaller from an Heritage lespaul like with a 59 duncan and i had the same problem. the very same one.i still have not find the issue, thepick up is just blocked by paper and adhesive tape (i am not a manual). i know it is not serious but there is a sweet fender vibe in the sound since the pick up always fall down the guitar. More seriously i think you have to build it all with mini tools. Hope it helps
