I have this song called "Before I Let Go" from Frankie Beverly that my band plays. There's a couple of guitar breaks in there that I originally thought were Larry, but listening again yesterday, they really sound like Mile of Aisles era Robben. Anyone know about this? _________________ There are no such things as wrong notes, there's only the look on your face.
Interesting how he gets listed on some as "Arranger" or some such. While Live in Breminale has his version of Take Out Some Insurance, that's John all over that live date. Robben was back home doing something else. They even had to get Stan Poplin out of retirement to fly in from Norway at the last minute. Never heard of "Power of Seven". Anybody know what they play? And a listing for writing the liner notes on Volker's album? Does that count as "appearing on"?.
The Bonnie Raitt is a song called "Free Ride" and sounds phoned in. There is a special thanks given in the liner notes and I'm sure the mutual respect runs deep, but it's not one of Robben's killer moments. Jorgensen is amazing on that album though. Textbook case in session work.
One album not listed where he guests and plays great is Garth Webber's Man On a Mission. A long awaited chance to hear them trade fours.
Hi Everybody I just wanted to let you know that the official Garth Webber MySpace is now up and running (AKA The WebberSpace)!! Guitarist/SingerSongwriter Garth Webber has shared the stage with such people as Miles Davis, Gregg Allman, The Ford Blues, and many more. Heres a link

Thanks everyone

I do not want to sound rude Phillip, but I think that we got the point about Garth Webber's MySpace...this is starting to look like spam and getting really annoying... |

Phillip, what PierreL said, but please continue to stay and contribute to this forum. It's great to have some young blood in here.
BTW, per your posts about Garth Webber, I've checked out his website and ordered his last 2 cds. Can't wait to get them.
Also, kudos to this forum's old codger, Bill Morgan, for his positive inputs on Garth over the years... |

I don't mean to be rude but, I don't feel that I have crossed any line by posting in this topic or any other, I made sure that I did not post anything about something in any section that it did not correlate to. In the topic, this topic being "Robben Ford also appears on..." , I quoted Aeolian because he first brought up Robben playing with Garth on his Man on a Mission CD, I feel that I am not being annoying in any way, shape, or form. i could understand your feelings if I had posted this is a place or section that it had no reason to be in but I would never do that because i value this forum and enjoy using it. Now if somebody found what I have to say or what I am trying to communicate offensive that would be a matter of opinion, its not like I private messaged everybody/anybody on the forum and sent them emails constantly or am dilebratly bothering people, now that would be called spam.
Thanks Phillip |

Phill: To be fair to Johnny and Pierre I don't think either are referring to your 'actual' posts, just the tagline (I think that's what you call them) you continue to use after all your posts since you informed us all about Garth's myspace (apart from the last one it seems).
In other words the "Hi Everybody I just wanted to let you know" bit, I assume you're not writing it out everytime so I think you need to revise your tagline maybe so as to avoid rubbing up the members the wrong way. I'm fairly certain everyone here knows about Garth so I don't think you need to preach to the converted.
Don't let it upset you though mate, your actual posts are always valid and informative.
