Nice pics!

The drummer is Brannen Temple (Eric Johnson's drummer, or at least was but he toured with Robben a few years back and can be seen on the Paris DVD).

I don't know the bassist's name but he was with Robben on the Mean Fiddler gig last time RF was in the UK. How do I know this? Because he sat down then!! Why is that? I assumed he had back trouble or something on the Mean Fiddler gig but it seems on all pics I've seen he opts to sit down. Great bass player but it looks odd, don't you think?

Thanks again for the link Very Happy

Maybe his back trouble is permanent. Or maybe he is diabetic and has trouble with his feet. It does look a bit different, though.

The bassist's name is Andrew Ford (no relation... Laughing ).

A quietly gentle and even-keeled person whose primary gig is as bassist for Crosby, Stills & Nash.

As far as I know, Andrew has no back or feet problems.
He just feels more comfortable playing in a seated position. Wink

Anthony Jackson the great bass player whose played with Mike Stern, Steve Khan, Steely Dan (AJA , Gaucho) and Donald Fagen sits down too. I agree it does look odd. Kind of dampens the vibe.

LOL... differant strokes, blah, blah, blah.
I've worked with several bass players thru the years who prefer to sit down and my own personal tastes have always found it to be a pretty cool vibe.
Especially if they are in a rythym section primarily backing up an artist who is featured out front.

In the trio I play with now I am the only one who stands throughout the gig. I guess it looks strange for me to be the only one standing, but I feel more comfortable that way. So, whatever floats yer boat!

I've grown fat over the years, and lazy (isn't that the Blues?!). I'd much rather sit than stand playing guitar. It feels more natural in my hands, over the belly... Laughing And, when standing up, I don't seem to see the fretboard like I do sitting down. But, that's just me, an amateur... Wink
