This is one of my favorites. I'm wondering has anyone here seen him play it live?

I saw him play it live with The Blue Line back in '92, in small club called The Iron Horse, in Northampton, MA. It was, in a word, incredible. Unfortunately, all I have are memories of it (but what memories they are!).

I haven't seen him play it live but I have a live bootleg (Blueline era/v. good quality), it is amazing. Tonally practically identical to the original cut.

That must be so hard to play well live.

Thanks for the responses. I suppose I should count myself lucky that I have been able to see Robben perform his newer stuff eh?

I have never had the pleasure to see Robben perform it but I think that I remember seeing the Ford Blues Band perform it and man does Andy Just play that harp!! Speaking of Andy Just he has a new MySpace Music page and be sure to add him and listen to some harpin' tunes.

Cheers

The Ford Blues Band would have played Life Song in concert ? And without Robben?
That seems rather surprising to me, are you not confusing with another song ?
By the way, you avatar is too large.

there is no chance Ford blues band played life song. My humble advice too. I've heard a bootleg too from blueline period. It was in bremen.Germany. Great as Ron said . Such an intensity in the approach, almost insane. I remember my 2003 clinic , at the very end a young guitar gun asked Robben to play this song, Robben did it with his les paul gold top and a twin . Magic.
