Heard the new release of the Beatles' "Let It Be - Naked" tonight, as well as viewing some never released video footage of the last times they played together, both in the studio and on the rooftop. I had tears in my eyes, goose bumps all over my body, and a big smile on my face. Amazing, truly amazing.

This remix of "Let It Be" is Beatles with a small "b" which, apparently, is exactly what they wanted at the time. As Sir Paul says during an interview about this period on the DVD/video "Anthology" series, 'we were a good little band."
I was reminded that part of their genius was to take a song like "One After 909" which on the face of it is throughly cornball and perform it with such energy and brilliance that it becomes vital and fresh rock 'n' roll. That's magic.
